BSA - Summer Camp
Registration for Bettendorf Soccer Association Summer Camps for kids born in 2011 through 2020 is currently open. Each summer, the Bettendorf Soccer Association offers young soccer players in the Greater Quad Cities Area the opportunity to enhance and improve their soccer skills all while having a little fun!
There are different focus sessions open for registration for players to work on various parts of their game. Camps begin June 16th! If you are interested in registering or need more information, please head to https://www.bsasoccer.org/camps to register.

BSA - Spring Academy
Registration for BSA Spring Academy for kids born in 2018 and 2019 is currently open. BSA Academy is a great introduction to soccer, is child-centered, ball-focused and skill-oriented. There are no lines, no Laps and no Lectures!
BSA’s Academy is five weeks long with Wednesdays being skill training and Fridays for games. Session begin Wednesday, April 9th.

"Moved by Waters" showing at Bettendorf Public Library
Did you know a piece of trash discarded in a Bettendorf neighborhood can end up in the Gulf of Mexico? Emmy Award-winning filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle of Fourth Wall Films turned the lens on the Upper Mississippi Watershed in the Quad Cities region for their new documentary “Moved by Waters,” and on Thursday, February 20 at 1:30 pm, they will present the film at the Bettendorf Public Library.

Young Emerging Writers Workshop - Every Month
Who: Writers 15-19 years old + Midwest Writing Center
What: "Write ins" Spend a couple hours writing with peers and critiquing one another's work
When: Second & Third Tuesdays of Each month, 5:30 - 8pm
Where: Second Tuesday is online, Third Tuesday is at MWC: ground floor of the Rock Island Public Library (401 19th St, Rock Island)
Cost: free
MWC is starting a new free program for young writers. Midwest Writing Center staff will lead these casual meetings which will open with 30 minutes of free writing with prompts and will be followed by workshop critiques. Guidelines will be discussed at the start of each meeting. MWC can assist with printing.
