Seven Bettendorf High School students recently competed at the Iowa FBLA State Leadership Conference in Cedar Rapids, joining over 1,000 students and advisers from across the state. The annual event brings together career and technical education (CTE) students to compete in more than 100 business and entrepreneurship events, attend sessions with industry leaders, and elect new state officers.
Six Bettendorf students advanced past the first round of competition and qualified for nationals—an impressive achievement that highlights their hard work and dedication.
BHS junior Sreya Alla was also elected Iowa FBLA State Secretary after delivering a campaign speech and connecting with peers at her informational booth. She is Bettendorf’s second state FBLA officer in the past six years.
“We are so proud of our student members,” said FBLA Adviser Angie Mojeiko. “They impressed industry leaders, built meaningful connections, and proved they’re ready for the future.”
